Class Dress Codes:
*Proper dance attire is vital for ensuring correct alignment and technique, and is a reflection of the discipline and respect for the art form.
*Hair must be secured and out of the face
*No jewelry or watches except small earrings
*Pink Tights should be "ballet pink" to closely match shoes. Convertible/Transition style tights are recommended.
*Tan Tights should closely match jazz shoes/lyrical paws. Stirrup style tights are recommended.
**Level Evaluations will take place the first two weeks of classes to ensure correct level placement. Dress code involving specific class colors for leotards & shoes are not required until after that point.
*Male dancers - please touch base with the studio regarding dress code options.
Classes:
Combo Class C "Mommy & Me" (age 18months-3yrs): Suggested attire is a Leotard or dance dress (any color), Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, Hair in a Ponytail.
Combo Classes A & B (age 3-5): Ballet/Tap:
Leotard or dance dress (any color), Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes & Black Tap Shoes,
Hair in a Ponytail or Bun
Combo Classes A & B (age 3-5): Hip Hop/Jazz
Leotard or dance dress (any color), Tan Tights. T-shirt/Tank & Dance Shorts/Leggings optional.
Tan Jazz Shoes, clean Sneakers, and Hair in a Ponytail or Bun
Ballet: leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a bun
Level 1: Light Pink Leotard, Leather Ballet Shoes
Level 2: Burgundy Leotard, Leather Ballet Shoes
Level 3: Hunter Green Leotard, Leather or Canvas Ballet Shoes
Level 4: Navy Leotard, Canvas Ballet Shoes
Level 5: Lilac Leotard, Canvas Ballet Shoes
Level 6: Black and/or Light Blue Leotard, Canvas Ballet Shoes
*Color Week: The last week of each month is "color week"! So dancers may wear any color of ballet leotard for ballet classes that week, if they wish.
Pointe: ballet class attire, pointe shoes, ballet skirt optional, Theraband
Jazz: Tan tights (needed for winter recital), fitted jazz bottoms (leggings-shorts),
form-fitting top/leotard, hair secured up, Tan Jazz Shoes
(Dancers in a Ballet/Jazz combo class should follow the Ballet dress code, and can then add Jazz Shoes for the Jazz portion of class.)
Lyrical/Contemporary: Tan stirrup tights (needed for winter recital), fitted jazz bottoms (leggings-
shorts), form-fitting top/leotard, Tan Dance Paws or Foot Undeez
Tap: fitted jazz bottoms (leggings-shorts) and/or tights, form-fitting top/leotard, hair secured up,
Black Tap Shoes
Hip Hop: dance bottoms, form-fitting top/leotard (can layer looser top over), clean Sneakers
Acro / Tumbling: fitted jazz bottoms (leggings-shorts) and/or tights, form-fitting top/leotard,
hair secured up
Training Class: dance attire similar to above classes, two 2.5 lbs ankle weights
